Logan City Council appoints Darren Scott as new CEO, two years after entire council was sacked

 Logan City Council has appointed a new chief executive, more than two years after the entire council was sacked during a corruption probe surrounding the dismissal of its former chief executive. 

The fall-out of the 2019 sackings led to multiple court cases, with the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission dropping fraud charges against eight former Logan councillors earlier this year.

Mayor Darren Power announced the appointment of experienced public servant Darren Scott on Monday.
