Queensland eyes infrastructure charges as Brisbane Lord Mayor says caps are too low

 Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner says delays to key infrastructure projects such as new parks, roads, and stormwater drains in Brisbane's booming suburbs are caused by state restrictions on how much councils can levy from developers.

Cr Schrinner was speaking in council chambers last week when opposition councillors criticised his administration for shifting several infrastructure projects off the city's 10-year primary infrastructure plan and onto the "never-never" long-term infrastructure list.
